Ford 30.00 $1,284.25 I recommend that the sum of $1500, or so much thereof as may be necessary, be appropriated from the Reserve and Contingent Fund to pay the above b l s and il other proper expenses, and also that Mr. Crosby's salary for the rest of the year be paid to his widow. O n motion of M r s . Blake, the payment of the hospital and medical bills and other necessary expenses in the case of M r . Crosby was authorized. T h e appropriation was m a d e by the following vote: Aye, M r . Armstrong, M r s . Blake, M r s . Busey, M r s . Evans, M r s . Grigsby, M r . Noble, M r . Trees; no, none; absent, M r . Blair, M r . Herbert, M r . Small, M r . Trimble. O n motion of M r s . Busey, M r . Crosby's salary for the rest of the year was ordered paid to his widow. P U R C H A S E O F L O T 3 4 IN C O L L E G E P L A C E (7) The Supervising Architect recommends that we purchase l t 34 in College o Place from Mr. Shields Blaine for $2000. I recommend that this be done and that an appropriation of $2000 for the payment be made from the Reserve and Contingent Fund. O n motion of M r s . Blake, this recommendation was approved. This statement was received for record. AUTHORITY T O C O N F E R DEGREES (9) A request for authority to confer degrees at the coming Commencements in Chicago on June 9 and at Urbana on June 11 on the candidates duly recommended by the University Senate.
