January 30, 1923 President, Board of Trustees, University of Illinois D e a r Sir: W e have audited the Cash Receipts and Disbursements of the University of Illinois for the quarter ending December 31, 1922, and certify that the Receipts and Disbursements as embodied in the report of the Comptroller for that period are in accordance with the books and in our poinion are correct. APPOINTMENTS TO FILL VACANCIES T h e secretary presented also for record the following list of appointments m a d e by President Kinley: Becker, H. C, Assistant in Hygiene, in the department of Pathology, in the College of Medicine, for four months, beginning February 5, 1923, at a salary of fifty dollars ($50) a month. (February 2, 1923)1 Caldwell, C. T., Assistant in Chemistry, on one-half time, for five months, beginning February 1, 1923, at a salary of sixty dollars ($60) a month. This appointment supersedes his previous one. (February 1, 1923) Clafford, F. R., Student Assistant in Military Science, for the second semester, beginning February 7, 1923, at a salary of ten dollars ($10) a month. (February 7, J923) Frane, I. A., Assistant in Chemistry, on one-fourth time, forfivemonths, beginning February 1, 1923, at a salary of thirty dollars ($30) a month. (February 1, 1923) Hendrickson, R. D., Laboratory Helper in Chemistry, at a salary of seventy-five dollars ($75) a month, from February 1, 1923, to September 1, 1923, subject to the rules of the Civil Service Commission.
