On motion of Mr. Smith, the other recommendations of the foregoing communication were all approved and adopted. I t was also ordered: 1. That the dumb waiter in the Library building be so changed that books may be conveyed by it to the upper story. 2. That the door of the east elevator on the second floor be cut in two so that the lower part may serve as a guard to the elevator shaft. 3. That arrangements be made so that the elevator truck may be run back and forth between the receiving room and the foot of the elevator without being unloaded.

COLLEGE OF MEDICINE.

lo the Board of Irustees. I transmit herewith the recommendations of the Executive Faculty of the College of Medicine touching the expenditures of the College for the next year. I advise that these be approved, with the understanding that the item for interest on the cost of improvements yet to be made shall be subject to the future action of the Board.
