M E E T I N G O F MAY 20, 1902. The following call for a special meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was issued May 14, 1902: "Upon the call of the President, Mr. A. F. Nightingale, there will be a special meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois, Tuesday, May 20, 1902, at 10:00 o'clock a. m., at the Auditorum Annex, in Chicago, to authorize conferring degrees upon those to be graduated that day from the College1 of Medicine, and to transact such other business as may be duly presented.' When the Board met pursuant to the foregoing call there were present Messers. McKay, McLean, Nightingale, and Smith and Mrs. Abbott and Mrs. Alexander; absent, Governor Yates and Messrs. Bayliss, Bullard, Conrad, Hatch, and Mrs. Carriel. Dr. Burrill, Vice-President, was also present. There being no quorum present the Board adjourned.

MEETING OF A P R I L 24, 1902.

A meeting of the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was held in Chicago, April 24, 1902, at which Mr. Nightingale, Chairman, and Mr. Hatch were present. The following communication was received from the Executive Faculty of the College of Medicine, and the recommendations therein contained were approved:

CHICAGO, I I I . , April 24, 1902. lo the Trustees of the University of Illinois, GENTLEMEN—At a meeting of the Executive Faculty held April 23, 1902, the persons whose names follow were recommended to the positions indicated: Arthur E. Price, Adjunct Professor of Anatomy. Twiner Brooks Wiggin, Adjunct Professor of Practice of Medicine. William Kilbourn Jaques, Professor of Microscopical and Chemical Diagnosis.
