T h e following call for a special m e e t i n g of t h e B o a r d of T r u s t e e s of t h e U n i v e r s i t y of Illinois was issued A p r i l 18, 1902: "By order of the President, Mr. A. F. Nighingale there will be a special meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois at 9 o'clock a. m., Thursday, April 24th, at the Auditorium Annex, Chicago, Illinois, to authorize conferring degrees upon those to be graduated that day from the School of Pharmacy."
