Smith, President Board Trustees, University of Illinois: DEAR SIR—I have been instructed by the Champaign County Farmers' Institute in session Jan. 7, to send to you for presentation at the next meeting of your honorable Board the enclosed resolution in regard to Morrow Hall in the College of Agriculture. WHEREAS, The Trustees of the University of Illinois have seen fit to commemorate the name and honor the labors of Prof. George E. Morrow, former Dean of the College of Agriculture, in naming the beautiful audience room in the Agricultural Building *'Morrow Hall." Besolved, That we commend the Board of Trustees for this action, and we recommend that steps be taken to secure, for the use in decorating the walls of this room, a portrait of this man whom the farmers of Illinois remember with profound respect. PORTRAITS OF PRESIDENTS PEABODY AND DRAPER AND PROFESSOR SNYDER.

URBANA, March 11, 1902.

To the Board of Trustees: The Committee on Instruction to which was referred the matter of portraits in oil for the University, recommends that the President of the University be authorized and requested to secure if possible within two years from date, a good oil portrait of Dr. Selim H. Peabody, President of the University from 1880 to 1891, one of Professor Edward Snyder, Professor in the University from 1868 to 1896, and of Dr. Andrew S. Draper, President since 1894, The committee further recommends that the portraits of Presidents Peabody and Draper be substantially the same size as that of President Gregory, now in the room of the Board of Tustees, and that the one of Professor Snyder be substantially the same size as those of the professors now in the same room.
