material shall be made by the Business Manager upon the requision of the Director, approved by the President of the University. The Business Manager shall keep separate accounts of the different Experiment Station funds and shall account therefor as in the case of all University funds. 7 ' Respectfully submitted.

Committee. Mr. M c L e a n offered t h e following resolution which was a d o p t e d : Whereas, On the 19th day of September of the current year, at the Armory of the University of Illinois, President A. S. Draper, in the presence of the Trustees, Faculty and students of the University, delivered a very instructive and impressive address on the life and character of President McKinley, and on the lessons to be learned from the event which has called forth universal execration and the deepest mourning, therefore Resolved, That the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois, desiring to voice their approval of the sentiments and opinions expressed by President Draper in this admirable address, request his consent to the publication and distribution of the same.* and, after such consent is obtained, do hereby instruct the Secretary to have the same suitably published in pamplet form. P r e s i d e n t Draper, M r . N i g h t i n g a l e , a n d M r s . A b b o t t were a p p o i n t e d a c o m m i t t e e to draft a n d p r e s e n t to t h e Board, resolutions expressive of t h e feelings of t h e B o a r d c o n c e r n i n g t h e assassination of P r e s i d e n t M c K i n l e y . Professor P a l m e r ' s bill of $40.38 for expenses i n c u r r e d i n v i s i t i n g t h e chemical laboratory of t h e U n i v e r s i t y of K a n s a s was o r d e r e d paid.
